The Rivers Police Command has vowed that the killers of human rights lawyer, Mr Ken Atsuete, will be fished out and face the full wrath of the law.
The Command's Public Relations Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni, confirmed that on Monday, August 29, around 6am.
Omoni, who described the incident as “pure assassination,” said the police has swung into action and would ensure that killers are brought to book.
According to him, preliminary investigation showed that Atsuete might have been shot in his car after struggling with the armed men.
“The killers used Atsuete'ss car to escape, abandoned it, ran into another car and escaped with it.
“This is an unfortunate thing that has happened. His body has been deposited at the mortuary and police investigation has commenced," Omoni said.
