Oprah Winfrey Never Got Married For This Reason

Oprah Winfrey is an American media proprietor, talk show host, actress, producer, and philanthropist.
In her latest shoot for the September 2017 issue of Vogue Magazine, Oprah Winfrey revealed the reason she never wanted to get married to her boyfriend of 31 years, Stedman Graham.
The 63-year-old talk show host said:
Nobody believes it, but it’s true, The only time I brought it up was when I said to Stedman, ‘What would have happened if we had actually gotten married?’ And the answer is: ‘We wouldn’t be together.’ We would not have stayed together because marriage requires a different way of being in this world. His interpretation of what it means to be a husband and what it would mean for me to be a wife would have been pretty traditional, and I would not have been able to fit into that. Live life on your own terms.
I shall never forget Saturday morning, October 17,I got a call from someone at the studio, and they said, ‘It’s over. You got beat by Chucky.’ And I said, ‘Who’s Chucky? What do you mean it’s over? It’s just Saturday morning!’ I knew nothing about box-office projections or weekend openings. It was ten o’clock in the morning, and I said to Art, “I would like macaroni and cheese for breakfast.” And soooo began my long plunge into food and depression and suppressing all my feelings.”
I actually started to think, Maybe I really am depressed. Because it’s more than ‘I feel bad about this.’ I felt like I was behind a veil. I felt like what many people had described over the years on my show, and I could never imagine it. What’s depression? Why don’t you just pick yourself up?”
It taught me to never again—never again, ever—put all of your hopes, expectations, eggs in the basket of box office. Do the work as an offering, and then whatever happens, happens.

Actor Kanayo O. Kanayo Celebrates His Birthday With A Heavy Heart And This Is The Reason Behind It

Actor Kanayo O. Kanayo is celebrating another birthday and rather than list what he is grateful for the actor uses the opportunity to raise awareness about the missing Dapchi girls and other social ills going on in the country.
The actor took to Instagram to share his thoughts on it.
He said, “Greetings my dear friends and Proximate people. IT’S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY. To God be all the Glory. All through my life, I have never hidden my hatred for oppression against the less privileged. My system refuses to come to terms with seeing a person being maltreated. These days stories abound of mothers treating other people’s children under their care with so much WICKEDNESS such as inflicting hot knife burns on them. I JUST CAN’T TAKE IT. I can severe a relationship and I have severed relationships on this basis.
“It’s almost two weeks since about 107 girls of the DAPCHI community in Yobe State were abducted. I have had sleepless nights because they will be and are maltreated. I JUST CAN’T TAKE IT. I salute our gallant Armed Forces for their efforts in the past and implore them to comb all the nooks and crannies to rescue these innocent daughters of ours. Their hope is that their country will come to their rescue, we MUST NOT fail them. Nothing to me will be a better birthday present than this. To the citizenry, please say a word of prayer, to their parents, my heart goes out to you.”

Man Utd formulate £14m De Gea salary offer to deny Real Madrid star goalkeeper

The Spain No.1 came close to leaving Old Trafford in 2015 and there are fears the move could materialise this summer
When David de Gea somehow kept out Luis Muriel's header shortly before half-time in Manchester United's Champions League visit to Sevilla last week, it was a familiar collective sigh of relief which was heard on the away terraces.
Not only had he done similar moments earlier to deny Steven N'Zonzi, but the Spaniard has become recognised as the world's best goalkeeper on the back of countless such interventions over the past five years.
Having struggled during his early months at Old Trafford, De Gea has been United's most consistent player since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson brought about greater pressure on the Red Devils' goalmouth on a weekly basis. The 27-year-old won the club's Player of the Year award in 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2015-16, prompting Jose Mourinho to announce shortly after his arrival at the club in 2016: "If season after season the goalkeeper is Player of the Season, it means that something is wrong. Hopefully he's not player of the season this season but hopefully he keeps making important saves for us."
But De Gea continues to stand out, and his form has continued to catch the eye of Real Madrid. The European champions attempted to sign the ex-Atletico Madrid star from United in 2015, only to be foiled by a matter of minutes, and there is a real belief that they could launch another bid for him this summer.

Toxic Arsenal atmosphere is no place for Alex Iwobi to grow

The Gunners' continued slide into irrelevance is hardly providing the optimum circumstances for the precocious Nigeria international to fully develop
While some of the suggestions of Arsenal's decline down the years have come across as sensationalist hyperbole, there is now a real air of abjection about the Emirates.
There is no shame in losing to Manchester City, but to do so in the manner that they did at the weekend - and in the Carabao Cup Final - has left some understandable questions. What's most cutting about these questions raised is that they go to the heart of what manager Arsene Wenger has always been perceived to be good at.
There was a time when, under the Frenchman, Arsenal were seen as the attacking avant garde. Even when the trophies dried up for a while, the Gunners could be counted upon as entertainers whose chief failing was a lack of pragmatism, who would invariably collapse at the very last like a ballerina in a stampede.
That now is a memory.
Arsenal are turgid going forward, and breaking the club record transfer fee twice in the space of six months has done nothing to restore the sort of verve that was so effortlessly achieved with comparatively middling footballers back in the noughties.
