The forthcoming 2015 election will witness the participation of entertainers as many of them are delving into politics.
Afro-pop singer, Gift Uwame, popularly known as Muma Gee and busty Nollywood actress, Funke Adesiyan have decided to contest under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP while Nollywood star, Desmond Olusola Elliot, ‘gongo aso’ crooner Abolore ‘9ice’ Akande, Kennis Music boss, Dayo ‘D1’ Adeneye, Kenny Saint Brown are holding on to the brooms of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Muma Gee, mostly known for her richly African elements infused album titled Kade, is aiming for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives via the Abua/Odua and Ahoada East LGA constituency in Rivers State.
Pretty Nollywood actress, Funke Adesiyan is gunning for a seat in the Ibadan South-East constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly.
Along with 9ice, who is contesting for the Federal House of Representatives, Funke is the other entertainer seeking elective office in Oyo State. 9ice has also launched his branded drinks and buses for his campaign.
