After clinching a point at the Saraki Boys, the Savannah Scorpions striker believes the result has improved the confidence in the team
Manir Ubale believes that Gombe United's draw at ABS on Wednesday will act as a 'turning point' for the team.
The Gombe outfit secured their first point on the road after Ubale's 54th-minute strike forced Henry Makinwa's side to a 1-1 draw in Ilorin.
"The point we picked up at Ilorin was vital to that turning point we needed. We have gone so close on a couple of occasions but didn't pick a draw or clinch three points," Ubale told Goal.
"It feels good that my goal also nicked a point for us. Now the confidence in the team looks good and I am charging everyone in my team
"It was very tough at the start of the season because we need to gel and improve the understanding in the team.
"But now we are getting better as the league progresses and I am optimistic that we shall continue to remain invincible at home and also replicate our home form on the road."
"Picking up points on the road is very important if we really want to achieve our set target this season."
