Podolski: I'm unhappy at Arsenal

The forward is yet to start a Premier League game this season, with just 37 minutes of action under his belt, and has again underlined his disgruntlement
"Unhappy" forward Lukas Podolski has insisted his status at Arsenal "has to change" and is open to leaving the club in January.

The Germany international, who has been afforded less than 40 minutes of Premier League football this season, revealed earlier in October that he "has to think about" a possible exit.

An injury suffered by Olivier Giroud prompted Arsenal to rebuff offers for Podolski during the summer, with Juventus and Wolfsburg interested, but the attacker has not ruled out an exit during the next transfer window.

"I have assessed my position in the team and it has to change now," Podolski told reporters.

"Let's see what happens in the winter. The fact is that I'm not happy with it, that's clear."

Poldolski, whose contract expires in 2016, has fallen further down the pecking order following the €20 million arrival of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United in September.
