The World Cup winner hailed his side for battling their way to a victory that moved them top of Ligue 1 but he was concerned by the concession of two penalties
Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc was pleased with the way in which his side nicked a 3-2 win at Metz on Friday night but conceded that his side's defending was disconcerting.
The French champions looked set to romp to victory after netting twice inside the opening 16 minutes, with Javier Pastore opening the scoring with a tidy finish before the hosts' Gaetan Bussmann put through his own net.
However, Metz dramatically drew level with two Mobido Maiga penalties in the space of four minutes at the start of the second half and PSG only snatched victory courtesy of a late strike from Ezequiel Lavezzi.
"It was a game of two halves," Blanc told beIN Sports. "In the first half, I think we were pretty much in control and we got two goals.
"If we had done the same in the second half, we would have scored a third.
"But we could not have known that we would concede a penalty in the 47th minute.
"That gave them a way back into the game and lifted their players and the stadium, which only woke up at 21. But then they were thinking anything was possible.
"And that was the case, because they scored a second penalty a few moments later. So we had to start all over.
"I think that we upped the ante in the final few minutes to win the game - and we did.
"But the second half was difficult. It is true that it is better for our system now that we have recovered our more important players, especially [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva.
"We scored three goals but what saddens me is that we conceded two."
PSG's victory sees them move two points clear of Olympique de Marseille at the top of Ligue 1, with Marcelo Bielsa's men set to play their game in hand at home to Bordeaux on Sunday night.
