It is that time of year when we ask our esteemed Goal readers to vote for their best Nigerian player of the past 12 months.
What a topsy-turvy year it has been for Nigerian football. We reached the Round of 16 at the World Cup in Brazil but could not qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
The home-based Super Eagles also finished third in their maiden appearance at the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa in January.
Kano Pillars retained their Nigeria Professional Football League title ahead of hard fighting Enyimba.
The People’s Elephant, however, retained their Federation Cup title by defeating Dolphins in Lagos last weekend.
Through it all, some players shone brightly and offered us great football. This is the time to reward them for their hardwork and talent.
Like we did last year, Goal readers will have an opportunity to vote for their best players. At the end of the voting process, our editors shall present an award to the chosen one and publish an exclusive interview with the player.
Voting will commence on December 1 when the five players selected by our team of writers and editors shall be unveiled to the general public.
Please note that much has been taken into consideration for us to arrive at this list which we believe represents the thoughts of many, if not all, followers of the Nigerian game.
