Pray for 2015 elections, Orji urges Nigerians

Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State has called on the people of the state and Nigerians to pray for the success of 2015 elections, even as he thanked them for the support given his government.
Orji, in his Christmas message to Abia people, also urged them to use the period to show love, peace, gratitude and hope to one another.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Charles Ajunwa, the governor said: “We are grateful for the divine assignment that God gave to us about seven and half years ago to make Abia one of the progressive states in our nation.
“We are grateful for your support and we thank God that we have another Christmas to celebrate in peace and prosperity.
“Christmas provides that opportunity to relax and reflect on the values taught by our Lord Jesus Christ, which every of his creature is admonished to imbibe.”
He tasked Nigerians to take the advantage of the Christmas celebration to commit 2015 elections into the hands of God to ensure that it is peaceful, saying “Nigerians must show love for our country as we look forward to the 2015 elections by asking God to guide us.
“God hears prayers always and there is no better time than now to cry to him and ask for guidance for the forthcoming elections.
“As we look to the New Year, let us pledge ourselves to living out those values by reaching out and lifting up those in our communities who look to us for a raise.”
