NPFL Week 29 Previews: Enyimba face Heartland in oriental derby

The Peoples Elephant face the Naze Millionaires in the biggest match of the Nigeria Premier League amidst other interesting fixtures
ENYIMBA vs HEARTLAND - Aba
It will be another Oriental derby in Aba with the Naze Millionaires making a short trip to Aba in quest to upset the purposeful Peoples Elephant at the Enyimba International Stadium on Sunday.
This will be the second derby between both teams this season as Heartland were a goal better than the former Caf Champions League winners in the first leg and they go into this game brimming with confidence having defeated Nembe City 2-0 on Wednesday.

Heartland are placed 12th with 40 points, while hosts Enyimba are three points ahead and are placed ninth on the Nigeria Premier League log.

ENUGU RANGERS vs FC TARABA - Enugu
The Flying Antelopes would seek to consolidate on their away draw in Umuhaia with an outright home victory against the Pride of Jalingo at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium on Sunday.
Rangers picked their second away point this season in 0-0 draw at Abia Warriors on Wednesday to remain undefeated in their last three games. John Obuh’s side suffered a 2-0 loss in their first leg meeting at FC Taraba.
Relegation-hunted FC Taraba are 17th with 34 points, while Enugu Rangers are ranked 14th on the NPFL log.

WARRI WOLVES VS ABIA WARRIORS - Warri
The Seasiders would seek to stay put in the top four places with a back-to-back home victory over the visiting Ochedo Warriors at the Warri Township Stadium on Sunday.
Paul Aigbogun’s men will have to remain focused after an impressive home result against Dolphins which they won 3-1 with Super Eagles striker Gbolahan Salami scoring a brace to hit his 14th of the season.
Similarly, Ladan Bosso’s wards will hope to give everything to improve their league ambitions for a continental spot after they were held at to a 0-0 draw by Rangers on Wednesday.
Warri Wolves are fourth on the log with 43 points from 28 games, while Abia Warriors have 41 points and are ranked eighth from same number of games.

SUNSHINE STARS VS AKWA UNITED - Akure
The Promise Keepers will travel to Ondo State in quest to ruin the Akure Gunners’ party at the Akure Township Stadium on Sunday after a first leg 2-2 draw in Uyo.
Sunshine Stars pulled off another away draw with 2-2 draw at FC Taraba and will be desperate to build on the midweek success at home against Akwa United.
Patrick Udoh’s wards must replicate their winning form that earned them 2-0 home win over Giwa FC on Wednesday in Akure.
Akwa United occupy sixth position with 42 points in 28 matches, while hosts Sunshine Stars are tenth with 41 points from same number of games.

NEMBE CITY VS CROWN FC - Benin
The Kala Ekulema boys must show classy difference as they will have more to contend with when they host fellow strugglers, Ajilete Boys, in a relegation-survival battle at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin. 
The hosts currently in exile at Benin need to put behind them the 2-0 defeat at Heartland and move on with desire to survive the drop against Crown FC, who won 1-0 against El-Kanemi Warriors. 
The relegation-threatened visitors, who just relieved Coach Lawrence Akpokona must be on guard up till the blast of the whistle at full time to shock their host.
Nembe City rocks bottom-of-the-table with 24 points from 27 matches, while Crown FC sits one place above with 31 points from 28 games.

KADUNA UNITED VS GOMBE UNITED – Kaduna
The Crocodiles must embrace the chance to swallow the Savannah Scorpions in get off the bottom zone again when both sides meet at the Kaduna Township Stadium, Kaduna on Sunday.
Kaduna United lost 1-0 in their first meeting this season at Gombe United and again lost 3-0 at Sharks on Wednesday, they must put their hearts away from regret of Port Harcourt and put in everything for their topflight survival.
On the other hand, the Austin Eguaveon’s men will hope to improve their performance away from home for the in race against relegation this weekend.
Kaduna United are 18th with 33 points from 28 games – two point and places respectively below their visitors Gombe United.

KANO PILLARS VS LOBI STARS - Kano
The League leaders would seek to get back to winning ways after a 2-0 midweek defeat at Bayelsa United when they welcome the Makurdi Bombers at the Kano Pillars Stadium on Sunday.
Kano Pillars suffered a 2-0 loss at Lobi Stars earlier in the season and would be hungry to regain  their winning momentum and consolidate on their bid for the third consecutive title.
Evans Ogenyi’s side on their own part would aspire to put up winning strategies to shock the defending champions in front of their own fans.
Kano Pillars are atop with 47 points in 28 games, while Lobi Stars have 11th with six points adrift of their hosts from same matches.

DOLPHINS VS NASARAWA UNITED – Port Harcourt
After their 3-1 defeat at Warri Wolves during the week, the Pride of Rivers will be hoping to get back to the top four with a clinical home victory against the Solid Miners at the Liberation Stadium, Port Harcourt on Sunday.
On the road, Coach Muhammed Baba Ganaru’s team, who are neck deep in the race for the title, would crave hopes of securing at least a crucial away point in Port Harcourt.
Interestingly, Dolphins and Nasarawa United both occupying second and fifth position respectively as visitors hold two points advantage with 44 from 28 games.

EL-KANEMI WARRIORS VS SHARKS - Kano
The Borno Army would hope to gun down Sharks on Sunday at the Kano Pillars Stadium on Sunday.
Sharks won 3-0 at home against Kaduna United on Wednesday but will face an uphill task to Kano where they suffered their worst defeat this season - in their 4-1 defeat to Kano Pillars.
Salisu Yusuf’s side must return to winning ways after their midweek 1-0 defeat at struggling Crown FC and avenge their 2-0 first leg defeat at Port Harcourt.
El-Kanemi Warriors are 13th with 39 points from 28 games, while Sharks are above in seventh position.

GIWA FC VS BAYELSA UNITED – Jos
The Jos Elephants after their 2-0 defeat at Akwa United would set their sight at gaining the maximum points when they host the Restoration boys at the Rwang Pam Stadium in Jos on Sunday.
On the road, Bayelsa United must aspire to repair their near ending-topflight stint with an important result in Jos against Duke Udi’s men.
Giwa FC are eighth with 41 points from 28 matches while, Bayelsa United are two places above the bottom-four 2nd with 36 points from same number of games.
