Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State, yesterday, kicked-off the cleanliness and beautification competition among the 637 communities in the state, to revive the culture of village and community sanitation exercise.
It is also to be used to re-awaken the consciousness of keeping a clean and healthy environment in the rural communities.
Speaking at the flag-off, Governor Okorocha represented by his Chief of Staff, Sir Jude Ejiogu, said the programme was put together by the Imo State Orientation Agency, ISOA. He lamented that some of the core traditional values in Igbo land were fast fading off.
