Five nations and two editions of the Nations Cup will be the focus for the Confederation of African Football this weekend when a vote is held to decide who will host the 2019 and 2021 tournaments.
The decision will be taken in Ethiopia, with each of the 14 committee members casting one vote and the first contender to receive at least eight votes wins.
Should several rounds be necessary, the country with the fewest votes after each round drops out.
The two winning nations are to be announced during a ceremony at the African Union (AU) headquarters in Addis Ababa.
Zambia’s package for the tournament in five years’ time includes matches played against a backdrop of the spectacular Victoria Falls.
They were awarded the 1988 tournament only to be replaced by Morocco because they lacked the required funds.
This time around Zambia have proposed six venues including Livingstone, a town that overlooks the waterfall on the Zambezi river which divides Zambia and Zimbabwe and is one of the seven wonders of the world.
