23 players, including
US-based Osinachi Ohale, have arrived the camp of Nigeria senior women team
ahead of the 2014 African Women Championship, AWC on Monday,

Media Officer of the team,
Gracious Akujobi told Goal, that among the 30 invited 22 are
home-based players while Houston Dash defender Ohale, is the first foreign-based
professional player to arrive completing the 23 players in
camp.
According to her, two home-based alongside five other overseas
players are still expected in camp.
Akujobi said that the team held its
first training session in their final preparation for the eight-team continental
tournament on Monday evening.
“The Super Falcons resumed camping on
Sunday September 14 for the 2014 AWC. 23 players are in camp with Ohale the
first professional overseas player to join the team," Akujobi informed
Goal.
"The coaches are all on ground
and the players look ready to fight for their in place in Namibia. We began
training this [Monday] evening and still expect the arrival of other players,”
she said.
The 2014 African Women Championship will hold in Namibia from
October 11 to 25.
The top three teams in the competition will
automatically qualify to represent Africa at the 2015 Women World Cup in Canada.
